Hi! My name is Samantha Greco and I am the Peer Counselor this year! I am a sophomore at UTC, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to assist the seniors fill out the FAFSA and answering any questions they have about collge and scholarships. I am a sophomore in college and I have filled the FAFSA out and I know it can be time consuming and a bit frustrating! But don't fret! To start out you need to go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and apply for a pin number. The student and one parent both need a separate pin number. You will use this to electronically sign the FAFSA. After you get you W2's make sure you get you tax returns quick so that you can get the FAFSA filled out as soon as possible. The FAFSA is the student's application for the HOPE Scholarship. Funds start running out by March 1st so let's try to get this FAFSA done!

If you have questions I'll be in the guidance office. My hours are Monday: 11:20-2:20, Thursday: 12:20-2:20, and Friday: 11:20-2:20. I am willing to stay till about 3pm on Monday and Thursday if need be.
