The Chattanooga Central High School Band enjoys a long reputation of musical excellence.  Year after year, the Central Band has worked hard to live up to higher and higher expectations and to achieve goals set by the students. Band class meets 5th block every day, with marching band in the fall and concert band in the spring.  Students must have been in band in middle school or have been in private lessons prior to entering the 9th grade in order to enroll in the class. 

This year's halftime and competition show is called "Asian Inspirations."  We are playing three pieces from three different East Asian cultures:  "Kyoto" from Japan, "Variations (on a Korean Folk Song)" from Korea, and "The Great Wall of China." 

We are extremely excited to have been able to purchase new uniforms last year!  After 15 years of use, the old ones were no longer suitable for wear.  A huge thank you to all alumni and supporters who donated to this cause!
