Math, Technology and Science Academy

MTS, the “Mountains Academy”, is dedicated to providing its students with a rigorous, relevant, and personal school experience which will prepare them for success in math, technology, or science careers.  Our motto, “Miles above the Ordinary”, exemplifies our belief that a concentrated study in math and science will lead to great heights later in life.

MTS offers three concentrations, or pathways, of electives for its members: Engineering, Environmental Studies, and Allied Health.  Electives available include several Advanced Placement science and math classes, plus special courses such as drafting, aquatic biology, forensic science, biochemical nutrition, environmental science, and anatomy/physiology.

MTS sponsors a Career Day in late winter each year.  All academy students spend the morning interacting with professionals from various science and math jobs.  Teachers also incorporate career information and job explorations into daily lessons as we strive to show students why learning math and science is so important.
MTS Academy offerings include: forensic science, biochemical nutrition, aquatic biology, drafting, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Statistics, AP Calculus, AP US History, AP English, and AP Spanish, among others.
