Belief Statements

  1. Setting high standards will increase individual student performance.
  2. All stakeholders share a common responsibility with the school to emphasize to students the importance of personal responsibility, preparedness in their work, exemplary attendance, and punctuality.
  3. Each student should receive an intensely personalized education that is challenging, engaging, and relevant.
  4. Each student, a valued individual with unique physical and social needs, deserves a safe, nurturing school environment.
  5. Students should be encouraged to develop the capacity for career selection, responsible citizenship, and community service.
  6. Both curriculum and instruction should provide opportunities for students to develop skills to think critically, logically, creatively, and to express themselves clearly
  7. Performance and standards based balanced learning assessments will be emphasized in each classroom, thus allowing students to demonstrate what they know and can do.
  8. Students and staff should be provided the most current technology and the training and support necessary for its utilization.
  9. All stakeholders have an important perspective and voice as related to school policy and decision-making
